Made from a reclaimed medicine trolley, the York Hospital Art Trolley provides pop-up artistic activities on the go. With five creative compartments, the trolley offers creative fun and self-expression to patients, staff, companions, and volunteers alike.
The York Hospital creative art trolley:
watercolour sunsets,
wooden peg dollies,
drawing with scissors,
doodles and prints—
art wheeled to patients
while colleagues fit splints.
Made possible in 2026 with the support of the York Hospital Arts Team and York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity.
